![]() ![]() Me and Blister talked about it and we don't think we can trick any of our usual buddies into buying the game so we might need some help from the thread. ![]() ![]() I'd still like to show it off though, so there will probably be some multiplayer later on. In theory.ĭuke Nukem Forever has multiplayer, and from the tiny bit I played before I started recording the Single Player campaign it's not very good. He's played the game all the way through so in theory he should be able to tell me where to go and what to do if I get lost. (A this point I'm about halfway through the game, the second half might be awesome!) However I didn't want to run around aimlessly or miss a fancy new feature so I enlisted Blister as my guide through this whole mess. I am under no illusions that this is a good game, and while I might not find it awful I had sever doubt that I'd make it through a second time. My point with this rambling intro is that I've played a lot of Duke3D and I know more about Duke Nukem then I perhaps care to admit, and it's with this background I've set about to make a Duke Nukem Forever LP. I've LPed most of it, officially I've got one official addon pack left but that addon is Nuclear Winter and it's awful so I won't play it ever again. Which is why I still play it from time to time. I still like it and even though some parts have no aged well, there's still a pretty good core gameplay in there somewhere. (The story is really way more involved, but I don't want to bore everyone to death before even the first video.)ĭuke Nukem 3D was the first FPS I really liked, sure Quake was way better in multiplayer but Duke3D map design and general tongue in cheek humour suited 15 year old me much better, and it had strippers which Quake didn't have. Less than a year later, on June 10th 2011, Duke Nukem Forever was released to really mixed reviews and this is the game I'll be playing. ![]() Then all of a sudden and to everyone's surprise 3DRealms went bust and Gearbox Software bought the right to Duke Nukem Forever. Some more years went by and at this point pretty much everyone considered Duke Nukem Forever vapourware. Then nothing happened.Īfter some years we got some sweet screenshots. Duke Nukem was and will forever be immortalized in gaming history, and this is his legend.Hey everyone, let's play some Duke Nukem Forever and be really pissed about how awful it was once we're done!ĭuke Nukem Forever was supposed to be the sequel to 3DRealms pretty decent FPS Duke Nukem 3D, it started development in 1996 pretty much right after Duke Nukem 3D was released. Shoot hoops, lift weights, read adult magazines, draw crude messages on whiteboards or ogle one of the many beautiful women that populate Duke's life that is if you can pull yourself away long enough from kicking ass and taking names. This game puts pedal to the metal and tongue firmly in cheek, among other places. The King of All Shooters is back with over-the-top weapons, massive aliens and unprecedented levels of interactivity. Pig cops, alien shrink rays and enormous alien bosses won't stop our hero from accomplishing his one and only goal: to save the world, save the babes and to be a bad-ass while doing it. The alien hordes are back and only Duke can save the world, again. Put on your sunglasses and prepare to step into the boots of Duke Nukem, whose legend has reached epic proportions in the years since his last adventure.
